We are a dedicated animal welfare organization working tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and protect vulnerable street animals in Tarija. Every tail deserves a chance, and through medical care, rescue missions, and community education, we strive to build a compassionate environment where no animal suffers in silence.

Born from ravine rescues and stubborn compassion.

Just twelve months ago, a small group of young local veterinarians and tireless animal welfare advocates in Tarija refused to look away. On the rocky slopes of Guadalquivir ravines, around the buzzing chaotic alleys of Mercado Campesino, and beside dangerous highway arteries, hundreds of litters were born into starvation and untended fractures.

Armed with empty pockets, rented surgical instruments, and an unwavering belief in communal dignity, we set up our first makeshift mobile recovery unit. We knew that simply feeding street dogs was not enough—sustainable mercy required aggressive, humane reproductive care, systematic viral eradication, and warm post-operative beds.

First Ravine Rescue ("El Molino")

Rescued 6 abandoned newborn pups from seasonal flood currents in Tarija’s riverbed.

Launch of Rural Mobile Unit

Purchased our community transit van equipped with sterile folding operating tables.

From Ravine Rescues to a Growing Impact

One Paw was founded with a simple belief — that no animal should be left behind to suffer on the streets. What began as a small group of stubborn volunteers tackling tough ravine rescues in Tarija has grown into a structured, full-scale animal rescue initiative.

Over the years, we have treated over 900 cases, provided free mobile clinics, and vaccinated thousands of street animals. Our journey is driven by dedicated veterinarians, passionate field workers, and the unwavering support of our community.
